The Mayland Amateur Radio Club, Inc. analog repeater system consists of:
1) WOODY’S KNOB REPEATER (KK4MAR) – 440 MHz repeater (Hub) on Woody’s Knob in the South end of Mitchell County, NC,
2) IOWA HILL REPEATER (KK4MAR) – VHF 2 meter repeater on Iowa Hill, overlooking the Town of Spruce Pine, NC. Link from this location is a co-located 440 radio under the TX/RX control of the 2 meter repeater at this site. This repeater is connected to an Echolink node with the call KN4KLE-R
3) LOCUST KNOB REPEATER (KK4MAR) – VHF 2 meter repeater located on Locust Knob in the North end of Mitchell County, NC. Link from this location is a co-located 440 radio under the TX/RX control of the 2 meter repeater at this site.
4) DMR Woody’s Knob Repeater (KC4TVO) – UHF DMR Digital repeater located in the South end of Mitchell County, NC This repeater is connected to the NC PRN network via the Internet. It is one of 15 DMR repeaters in the Western Section of NC that are capable of being linked “at will” forming the Western Branch AUXCOMM net as requested and in support of NC Emergency Management. Also linked weekly (see schedule below) for Western NC Regional Net.
NOTE: All Analog repeaters are linked full time, unless there is a malfunction in the system. If you activate any one of the three, you will activate all of them.
